Design and Manufacture
SEA's capability covers the full life cycle from feasibility studies, through to simulation, prototype development and trials to production management. Equipment can be supplied to good commercial standards or rugged standards demanded by military or space environments.
SEA has extensive experience with all key underlying hardware technologies including general-purpose processors (eg PowerPC, ERC-32/LEON2), DSPs (eg TMS and ADI families), microcontrollers (eg 8051, PICs) as well as hardware embodied functions in FPGAs (eg. Altera, Xilinx, Actel).
SEA has specialised facilities for the development, manufacturing and testing of electronic assemblies. Facilities include five CAD workstations, nine PCB or whole assembly development benches and space.military capable PCB or whole assembly manufacturing, which includes two class-100 laminar flow cabinets.
Production schedules are managed via an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that controls all aspects of planning, procurement, production and job tracking. Significant levels of flexibility in operator availability are possible due to a programme which ensures that all our manufacturing technicians are trained to a similar high standard, including to European Space Agency (ESA) PSS procedures and standards, and in all appropriate disciplines.
SEA is assessed and approved in compliance with ISO 9001:2000, ISO 9000-3 (TickIT) and EN/AS9100.
SEA is a signatory to the Aerospace and Defence industries supply chain initiative - 21st Century Supply Chains (SC21).
