Versatile data interfacing system

SEA’s Network Interface Unit (NIU) provides a flexible and open solution for dealing with the interfacing and routing of data.  It is a versatile system that can interconnect to a variety of digital and analogue communication devices over a LAN or WAN.  Using personality cards (CAMS) ports can be configured for isochronous serial, asynchronouse serial, sychronous serial or analogue formats.

The core technology uses data encapsulation techniques to route data over a LAN or WAN between remotely located equipment and systems.  This permits interfacing to a range of equipments such as modems, encryption devices, and digital and analogue terminals.  The system has been proven with a number of legacy communications systems including a range of military radio systems and cryptographic units.
