SEA has recently conducted a successful demonstration of its 4G Mobile Data Node (MdN4G) which could significantly advance the connection reliability of vital communications networks. MdN4G is a lightweight (1.5kg) ruggedized Long-Term Evolution (LTE) small cell “network-in-a-box”.

SEA has been awarded a contract from Ultra Electronics to supply transducers as part of the Sonar 2050 Technology Refresh programme (S2050TR) for the Royal Navy.
SEA has signed a five-year contract with Ultra that will cover the duration of the Type 23 programme; this has also strengthened SEA’s hopes of contributing to the Type 26 Global Combat Ship programme.

SEA has been awarded a further order by BAE Systems to provide its External Communications System for the second stage of the common External Communications System (cECS), for the Royal Navy. The value of this order will eventually be worth up to £17m, and will cover further procurement and design activities.

SEA, has launched the next generation of relocatable Traffic Enforcement Camera technology ROADflow Motion. These cameras will enforce box junctions, bus lanes, banned turns and school keep-clears. They have been designed to reduce congestion and to increase pedestrian safety.
