SEA, a Cohort plc company, has been selected to deliver advanced external communications technology for the UK submarine fleet. The value of the initial contract is approximately £23m for effort up to detailed design and long lead procurement. A further significant order for the ECS system on Royal Navy submarines is expected in 2015.
