Simulation & Training Junior Project Manager

Summary

Due to increase in work, SEA has a vacancy for a Junior Project Manager within our Software Solutions and Products Division, to support the delivery of a range of cutting edge new virtual training systems, mainly for Defence applications. The role will involve working with the project delivery team in our Bristol office and engaging with customers both in the UK and overseas.

Job Role

The role will be to:

  • Manage Simulation & Training projects and bids that are assigned, taking responsibility for the timely delivery of outputs within defined budgets
  • Assisting Programme/Portfolio Managers with the management of projects and bids, to include:
    • Planning
    • Progress monitoring and reporting
    • Financial management and reporting
    • Risk and opportunity management
    • Customer Furnished Equipment/Information and dependency management
    • Compiling project metrics
    • Document configuration management
    • Capturing and issuing meeting minutes
  • Liaise with external parties including customers, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Work individually and within a team environment of multi-disciplined specialists and engineering disciplines to achieve programme results and customer deliverables in a timely and accurate manner

In return we will offer a salary of up to £32k depending on experience + usual Benifits

Experience Required

The candidate should have relevant experience of working in a project management role within an Engineering environment

No formal project management qualifications are required. Essential skills required are:

  • Awareness of the project lifecycle
  • Competent user of Microsoft Project/Office tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to track of project progress
