Senior Human Resources Officer (1 year Fixed Term)

Due to company expansion, we are looking for a Senior Human Resources Officer (1 year Fixed Term) to lead all areas of Employee Relations, in order to provide a legally compliant and customer focused service to all employees (excluding Directors) based at the Beckington Site. The role will also be expected to provide HR support and guidance in particular Data Protection and Staff Wellbeing across Bristol and Beckington sites.

Job Role

The role will be but not exclusively

  • To be the HR lead to support Managers through general complex ER issues such as changes to the workforce, terms and conditions of employment, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • To provide mediation where there is conflict and grievance in order to find satisfactory resolution for all parties
  • To provide guidance and support to all Line Managers when managing performance issues
  • To ensure that all Policies and Procedures are kept up to date and compliant with legislative changes
  • To lead initiatives that support the Company’s approach to employee wellbeing
  • To work closely with the Staff Councils across SEA to maintain excellent employee relations
  • To manage SEA’s employee longevity and retirement recognition programmes
  • To provide advice and expertise on all matters relating to Data Protection

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will be CiPD qualified and have relevant experience working as an HR Officer. Have a strong up-to-date understanding of employment law. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Have good attention to detail, good time management skills. Successful track record of managing ER cases including performance management, grievance, disciplinary, dismissal, TUPE and Tribunal experience.   Have at least 5 years experience in a HR Officer position
