Richard joined SEA as our Managing Director in January 2021. Throughout his career, he’s taken on senior technical and leadership roles in the UK and US, developing skills and people across the aerospace, defence, simulation, training, entertainment, and scientific sectors.
Julia joined SEA in April 2020 as Finance and Commercial Director with responsibility for IT. A qualified management accountant (CIMA), Julia has experience in a number of sectors covering hospitality, global clinical research, and defence with Directorship experience globally.
Valerie joined SEA as our Human Resources Director in September 2021. Valerie has extensive HR experience, developing culture, employee experience and people across sectors including motor, communications, and design.
Dave joined SEA in 2021, bringing with him over 25 years’ senior management experience in manufacturing operations and international supply chains. Dave has worked in a diverse range of industries, driving operational improvements in high technology / low volume environments, including business start-ups and turnarounds.
Chris joined SEA in 2023 as Product Development Engineering Lead responsible for the Engineering team developing our Ancilia Trainable Decoy Launch System. He has over 20 years of experience operating in high integrity Engineering environments, predominantly within the Aerospace industry. Building on his 12 years of experience leading multi-functional Engineering teams, Chris was appointed Engineering Director in 2025.
Darren joined SEA in 2005 as a Systems Engineer with a wealth of experience in Maritime Combat Systems. Building on his 25 years of engineering excellence and defence sector knowledge, Darren was appointed as Engineering and Quality Director in 2022 and Technical Director in 2025.
Paul was appointed Business Development Director International in 2014. Paul has a strong technical background and oversees our activities in Canada, South East Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand. Paul’s previous roles have included principle electronics engineer, project manager, business development group manager and Director Defence.
Alastair joined SEA in October 2021 to lead the Transport Division. Starting his career as an Engineer and then Project Manager, he has held a series of senior leadership roles spanning a wide range of regulated industries, including transport across road, rail and air. He specialises in the operational and delivery performance of organisations engaged in engineering complex, software-intensive systems.
