It’s #WorldMenopauseDay. Menopause will affect almost every woman in their lifetime, and it may also have an impact on the people around them. It can be incredibly difficult for people to open up about, and the symptoms vary between people, with some having a severe impact on people’s lives.
According to studies from London-based charity Wellbeing of Women, 25% of women have a “horrific experience”, and over 900,000 women have left their job because of Menopause symptoms.
At SEA, we want to encourage our people to talk openly about their journey and know they’re not alone. That’s why we’re introducing ‘Menopause for Thought’.
Menopause for Thought is a regular event held across our three sites, and online too, where our people can discuss the effects of menopause on their lives, and share their experiences. A safe space, open to everyone in the company, to support each other before, during and after their menopause journey.
