Richard said: “Commitment to the Armed Forces community runs right through SEA and without ex-service personnel in our business, we would not be able to deliver critical defence capability that helps keep our people, our country, and our assets safe. As a business we embrace the values of the Armed Forces Covenant and I’m proud of the way this continues to evolve.”
Recognition under this scheme demonstrates our continued commitment to ex-service personnel, which includes engaging with suppliers to ensure their awareness and adoption of the Armed Forces Covenant, providing career opportunities for individuals transitioning from the military, recognising and accommodating the requirements of Reservists and considering veterans for job positions based on their military qualifications.
Alice said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition from the UK Government. Having held the silver award for a number of years, it’s great to see recognition at this level for the efforts we put into our values, our culture, our recruitment and promoting the invaluable knowledge and experience our armed forces personnel bring to our teams and our business.”
SEA was among the 193 others who were awarded the Defence ERS Gold Award, a record high since 2013. Winning this award demonstrates SEA’s ability to understand the operational and technical needs of our customers, while advocating for the Armed Forces Covenant, reservists, and veterans.
