Careers at SEA: Harry’s Story

This National Career’s Week, we are celebrating some of our team members who have developed their careers and skillset through a variety of programmes available at SEA.

Harry joined the SEA Apprenticeship Programme in 2018 as an entry-level apprentice, studying towards his Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture (Electrical & Electronic Engineering).

Harry completed his Apprenticeship in July 2021 and has since moved in to the role of Test Technician. Harry is an extremely valuable member of our Production team in Barnstaple. Alongside his daily responsibilities, Harry has proved himself to be ambitious and enthusiastic, and always willing to develop his skillset.

“I am thankful for the opportunity I have had to work alongside such a skilled team and learn from all the departments that conduct a variety of work here at SEA. While I have finished the apprenticeship on paper, I am still learning lots within my day-to-day activities, and I am looking forward to continuing my professional development within the business.”

Our Apprenticeship programme has been running for over 50 years and each year we take on a number of Apprentices under different disciplines across the business. Our Apprentices are supported throughout the programme by experienced mentors, and their skillsets are refined to suit their target career path.
