New Zealand ANZAC Communications Upgrade Team Visit SEA

Since winning a contract to upgrade the communication system for the Royal New Zealand Navy’s two ANZAC class frigates in August 2021, the team at SEA have been working on Phase 1 of the Frigate Sustainment – Communications (FS-C) project. After collaborating remotely with the team from the Royal New Zealand Navy and the New Zealand Ministry of Defence since August, the easing of Covid-19 restrictions has finally enabled them to meet the SEA team face-to-face.

Throughout the last 11 months, Phase 1 for the FS-C project has undergone several very successful design reviews and is due to complete later this year.

During their visit, our guests from the New Zealand Ministry of Defence were able to visit multiple SEA sites and tour our production facility to see a number of demonstrations of other intelligent SEA products and capabilities. They were also able to visit HMS Raleigh Training Facility to see the SEA cECS Training System in operation.

Paul Parsons, International Business Development Director said: “It was a pleasure to welcome our prestigious customers from the Royal New Zealand Navy and the New Zealand Ministry of Defence to our Beckington and Barnstaple sites after almost a year of remote collaboration. The 4-day visit to SEA has enabled us to discuss the progress of the ANZAC FS-C contract and have effective, detailed conversations surrounding the future of our partnership.

We would like to extend our thanks to the FS-C team for their time and efforts in visiting SEA and for their continued support.”
